Heavy Mineral Sands (HMS) found along coastal regions and ancient beach deposits are valuable sources of industrial minerals such as ilmenite, rutile, zircon, garnet, monazite, and sillimanite. A Heavy Mineral Sand / Beach Sand Mineral Processing Plant is designed to efficiently recover these minerals from natural sand deposits through a series of screening, classification, and separation processes. The raw sand first passes through trash or trommel screens to remove vegetation, plastics, and other debris. It is then transferred through surge bins and slurry pumping systems to maintain consistent feed density and plant throughput. De-sliming using hydrocyclones removes fine clay and ultrafine particles, improving downstream efficiency. Attrition scrubbing helps remove clay coatings and foreign materials from mineral surfaces. The material is then classified using hydrosizers or hydro classifiers to optimize particle size distribution.
